Private entrance gate code, 1958#

 

DOT has never opened these gates.  If you test them, NEVER open the Slave!!!

 

I did once, and it didn't close enough to stop leaking.  I had to muscle it closed with the handle, took about 30 minutes !!

Access to the Slave side is best when water is down and you can walk over the concrete apron, see below.  If flowing water, you need DOT staff to drive you around from the East because it's some conservation area that is also wet lots.  We've never seen that route, always carried ladders and tools across concrete when it was needed.
